Delivery Policies

Local Delivery Service
- Bakersfield (all ZIP codes): $75 flat rate.
- Nearby cities (Arvin, Lamont, Shafter, Wasco, Taft): $100 flat rate.
- Extended areas (Tehachapi, Delano, McFarland, Earlimart, Porterville, Visalia, Tulare, Pine Mountain Club): $150 flat rate.
- Upstairs delivery: +$40 added to the delivery rate.
- An adult (18 or older) must be present at the time of delivery.
- Delivery fees are non-refundable once delivery has been scheduled.
Assembly Tiers
- Basic — $50: sofas, loveseats, recliners, attaching legs, connecting simple sectional pieces.
- Standard — $70: regular, modular & sleeper sectionals; dining tables & chair sets.
- Heavy / Complex — $90: large reclining sectionals, power reclining furniture, large modular configurations, bedroom sets.

- If assembly is declined, setup is the customer's responsibility per the manufacturer's guidelines.
Inspection at Delivery or Pickup
- Please inspect your items at the time of delivery or pickup.
- If you find visible damage, tell the delivery team right away.
- Take clear photos and email info@kerncomforts.com within 48 hours.
- Approved claims may be handled through repair, replacement parts, or exchange.
Order Cancellations
- Orders can be cancelled before they are processed with our distribution partner.
- Once an order has been processed or scheduled, cancellation may no longer be possible.
- Approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method.
Warehouse Pickup
Prefer to grab it yourself? Pick up your order at our Bakersfield warehouse showroom.
- When to come: Only after our team confirms your order is ready.
- Hours: Monday – Sunday, 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM.
- Please bring: Valid photo ID and your order confirmation.
- Heads up: Some items may still be in transit from our suppliers — don't come without confirmation.

Terms & Disclaimers
Website orders, Marketplace and OfferUp purchases, cash deals, and in-person buys at regular pricing may qualify for returns and exchanges under our posted return policy. Items sold at special discount pricing, as-is items, and clearance inventory are treated as final sale unless a verified manufacturer defect is reported at delivery or pickup. Delivery and assembly fees are non-refundable once completed or scheduled.
Customers requesting returns for eligible website orders must do so within 7 days of delivery or pickup, and returned items must be unused, unassembled, and in original factory packaging with all parts included. Approved returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
