Kern Comforts Furniture offers local fulfillment only. We provide free warehouse pickup, local delivery throughout Bakersfield and surrounding Central Valley communities, and optional in-home assembly. We do not currently offer nationwide shipping.

Most items sold by Kern Comforts are sourced through authorized distribution partners and fulfilled locally. After you place an order, our team will confirm availability, schedule your delivery or pickup, and provide your estimated timeframe.

  • If assembly is needed, it must be arranged before delivery is scheduled.

Kern Comforts is built around local service in Bakersfield and nearby Central Valley communities — not national parcel shipping.

Important Delivery Policies

Local Delivery Service

  • Bakersfield: $75 flat-rate delivery
  • Surrounding Cities: $110 flat-rate delivery
  • An adult age 18 or older must be present at the time of delivery.
  • Delivery fees become non-refundable once delivery has been scheduled.

Optional In-Home Assembly

  • Assembly is available upon request.
  • Assembly must be arranged before delivery is scheduled.
  • Fees vary depending on item size and setup complexity.
  • If assembly is declined, the customer assumes responsibility for setup according to manufacturer guidelines.

Inspection at Delivery or Pickup

  • Customers are responsible for inspecting items at the time of delivery or pickup.
  • If visible damage is found, notify the delivery team immediately.
  • Take clear photos and email support@kerncomforts.com within 48 hours.
  • Approved claims may be handled through repair, replacement parts, or exchange when applicable.

Order Cancellations

  • Orders may be cancelled before they are processed with our distribution partner.
  • Once an order has been processed or scheduled, cancellation may no longer be possible.
  • Approved cancellations are refunded to the original payment method.

Free Warehouse Pickup

  • Pickup Cost: Free
  • Pickup Type: By appointment only
  • When to arrive: Only after our team confirms your order is ready
  • Please bring: Valid photo ID and your order confirmation
  • Important: Some items may still be in transit from our distribution partners, so do not arrive without confirmation

Terms & Disclaimers

Website orders placed through KernComforts.com may qualify for returns and exchanges under our posted return policy. Marketplace purchases, cash sales, Tuesday Drop deals, clearance inventory, and in-person warehouse purchases not processed through the website are treated as final sale unless a verified manufacturer defect is reported at delivery or pickup. Delivery and assembly fees are non-refundable once completed or scheduled.

Customers requesting returns for eligible website orders must do so within 7 days of delivery or pickup, and returned items must be unused, unassembled, and in original factory packaging with all parts included. Approved returns are subject to a 15% restocking fee.
